Phalada Agro is a processor and exporter of organic food products in India. In fact, they were one of the first organic exporters, starting with spices in 2002. Phalada works with integrated supply chains, controlling the product from the farm to the point of sale. Besides exporting, they serve the domestic market for organic food with the well-know brand Pure and Sure. The company has its base in Bangalore, Karnataka.
Initially, in 1999, the company started selling organic compost and farm inputs. This soon led to a bigger involvement with farmers, facilitating organic certification and providing better markets. Today, Phalada is one of the largest exporters of organic spices, herbs and essential oils in India. The company runs its own steam-sterilization unit, established in 2018. They maintain close relationships with farmers and farmer groups.
